Guatemala 2.0 and the launch of The Alignment Sanctuary

The two big things that happened in my life in June.
4

I’m back with you after a beast of a month. June. Sounds so innocent…

June of my childhood was like sleeping until 9 am every day, watching cartoons, eating meatballs and pasta with ketchup for lunch (a Swedish thing), biking with friends, swimming in the lake, and reading.

June now was a rollercoaster that I was on and had to surrender to, with international travel, canceled planes and being stuck in the airport, meeting lots of new people from various backgrounds, tons of grief, surprisingly launching a new business, AND an online marketing membership, navigating two kids at home, summer camps, celebrating 13 years of marriage, and doing deep inner healing. PHEW!

I’m guessing you didn’t have a breezy start to the summer yourself?

As you can see in my video, I am very much ALIVE, but I’m also tired. So I’ll let photos and images do much of my talking today since a picture says more than… and all that.

Part 1: Guatemala Soul Journey 2.0 🇬🇹

My first Soul Journey to Guatemala with my 7-year-old daughter was profoundly transformative, yet, having her there was also a big responsibility. I knew I needed to go back alone. And in June, I did.

The group of 12 women and one awesome guy named José, who traveled together, instantly drew me in, and I learned so much from my fellow travelers.

Life lessons learned.

From Auntie Cathy (in the image below), I learned that it’s essential to stop and recognize how far I’ve come and focus on appreciating what I have in this precious moment.

Jordan, age 13, taught me the power of sharing our truth vulnerable, and she set the tone for the rest of us to be brave enough to show up without our masks for the duration of the trip.

From my new business partner (more about this later!), Kara, I learned that it’s OK to live in “La la land” and believe in a world that’s soooooo much more enjoyable, equitable, fair, beautiful, and magical than what the existing culture tells us we can have and how we can take steps to create that world together.

Ale showed me resilience and how to show up with tempered presence amid a life crisis by simply taking things slow and doing what we know is good for us, even when things are hard.

José taught me to wait for the moment of connection, be patient, and allow that moment to arrive without me trying to micromanage it.

The land of “Guate” herself inspired me to breathe in my surroundings and let beauty reside inside my body and be part of me - not be a separate thing “out there.”

The people of Guatemala showed me the grace of living in each moment with kindness and care.

The art everywhere gave me so much joy and invited me into wonder.

There’s SO MUCH more to share, but this is all I’ve got for today. There are naps to be had and a few items on my to-do list that are beckoning me.

Part 2: Welcome to the Alignment Sanctuary 🌺

Beyond writing boldly about my life here on Substack, my “real job'“ is as an Alignment Marketing Strategist and Coach — I help Spiritual Entrepreneurs evolve into their most aligned and expansive self by providing the tools, resources, and safe container to shine, be seen, and attract abundant resources!

Inside this BRAND NEW marketing membership, my trusted partners and I show brave humans how to create a Marketing Ecosystem and Foundation for their businesses, then guide them on building it to reach their goals while holding big space for their process and having FUN!

I believe that to grow your business, you have to be willing to expand with it. In other words – success is an inside job and will require you to do the work necessary to rewire your nervous system from surviving to thriving.

✨You curious?✨

I want to share a few myths that you might have been told about marketing…

There are SO many confusing messages circulating the Interwebs right now that it’s hard to narrow them down.

Here are the ones that I think are the most overwhelming:

  1. You need to build an evergreen funnel.

  2. You need to do launches to sell your product.

  3. You need to grow your business with social media.

  4. You need to run ads.

  5. You need to sell in your DMs.

  6. You need to master the art of storytelling to sell.

  7. You need to run a challenge.

  8. You need to monetize a Facebook group.

  9. You need to make a “High Ticket” offer.

  10. You need to do a Group Coaching program.

Or, in short: There is one ultimate business model or way to grow, and the others are “dead.”

Some of these strategies can be super efficient and do work!

However, some people *nudge, nudge, wink, wink* have been pushing the envelope a little too far when it comes to professing they have found the holy grail.

And the Spiritual Entrepreneurs I serve have found that many mainstream marketing tactics aren’t working for them.

Enter the new path to grow and evolve your business, Alignment Marketing!

What is Alignment Marketing?

Alignment Marketing is a way to take up your rightful place in the world, be visible, and share your work in ways that align with, or in “right relationship” with the Divine (as you define it), your soul’s values, the wellbeing of others, and the planet.

It’s for trauma-recovering Business owners with a burning desire to be fully resourced in life and thrive by being true to who they are, using their soul gifts and life experience.

It is a framework built on principles rooted in Love, trust in the Divine/Life, and body-based intuition.

It’s nuanced, rich, and bold. And it will ask a lot of you. (You know, like entrepreneurship always does.)

If you want to learn more about Alignment Marketing, I invite you to check out this blog post on my website, “What is Alignment Marketing?”

Thanks for being on this journey with me! I appreciate you so much.

If you know someone who might want to go on a Soul Journey or is a Soulpreneur who “hates marketing” but need help growing their business, I’d love for you to share this email with them. 🙏

Much love,

Karna 💜
